Happy smiling young woman with a smile makeover.

Do you cover your mouth when you laugh? Do you avoid showing your teeth for pictures? Do you dread going to the dentist because you’re afraid you might be judged for the way your teeth look? If you answered yes to any of these questions, rest assured, solutions are available that can help improve the look of your smile. You would be amazed by what a few cosmetic dentistry procedures, such as teeth whitening or orthodontics can do for your self-confidence. Once your teeth are brighter and beautifully aligned, you won’t be able to keep from showing of your pearly whites.

At Desert Family Dental, we can combine multiple cosmetic dentistry treatments into a customized plan to provide a smile makeover. Dr. Lee will meet with you in a private consult to listen to your concerns and discuss which treatment options would be suited to fit your needs and budget.

Want a Brighter Smile?

If dental staining and discoloration are the cause of your smile dissatisfaction, we offer professional strength teeth whitening that can be used in the comfort of your home. How does the whitening system work? Dr. Lee will take impressions of your teeth that will be used to fabricate trays for your top and bottom teeth. Once they are completed, he will send you home with a whitening gel designed to provide faster results than the kits, mouthwashes, or toothpastes found at your local pharmacy or grocery store. Your trays can be worn about 30 minutes a day or overnight. Within about one to two weeks, you will enjoy a stunningly brighter smile.

Straight Teeth Are More Attractive and Easier to Keep Clean

Crooked teeth are one of the main concerns we hear at Desert Family Dental. Even if you had braces as an adolescent, teeth can continue to shift as you age, especially if you had your wisdom teeth removed or you no longer wear your retainer. While we do offer traditional metal braces, we understand that adult patients would prefer a discreet and minimally invasive approach.

When teeth are mild to moderately misaligned, we offer Invisalign®. This orthodontic solution provides aligners fashioned from clear plastic designed to fit securely over your top and bottom teeth. For optimal results, aligners should be worn 20 to 22 hours a day, only removed for eating and cleaning. Every two weeks, you will change out your aligners to the next one in the series. The gradual pressure will gently shift your teeth into proper alignment. Most people will be unaware you are wearing orthodontics. Having straighter teeth not only lowers your risk for tooth decay, but greatly improves self-confidence.

Address Multiple Issues With Either of These Cosmetic Dentistry Treatments

For patients who have multiple issues, such as cracked, chipped, crooked, gapped, permanently stained, or disproportionate teeth – you can choose from either porcelain veneers or dental bonding to cover imperfections. Dental bonding uses composite resin to cover teeth that are damaged. The resin will be carefully tinted to match the natural shade of your teeth, and then gently molded and shaped to provide realistic results. While results are not as long-lasting as porcelain veneers, they can be achieved in one office visit and there is no enamel alteration required – making it a great solution for people with dental sensitivity.

Porcelain veneers are custom-made shells designed to cover and bond to the front surface of your teeth. Before they are made, a small amount of enamel must be removed so that the impressions taken deliver seamless results. Veneers can typically be completed in two office visits. Many people enjoy porcelain veneers for their durability, longevity, and ability to provide lifelike results. Your veneers will be fabricated to match, yet enhance the natural aesthetics of your teeth.
