Health insurance can be confusing and frustrating, and dental insurance is no exception. Many of our patients have dental insurance through their Mesa, AZ employers, so we are in-network with Delta Dental, MetLife, and other prominent insurance carriers. Our insurance experts have dealt with Delta Dental and other carriers, and we will help you navigate the maze of co-pays, coverage inclusions, and claim submissions.
About Insurance Carriers
Delta Dental has been around since 1954 and is non-profit, though it does have some affiliates that are for-profit. Delta Dental offers insurance to more than Mesa, AZ residents. It is a national company, as are MetLife, Aetna, and the other insurance companies we are in network with. Delta Dental is the largest dental benefits carrier in the United States. If you have Delta Dental, MetLife, Aetna, Cigna, or United Healthcare insurance through your employer or with an individual policy, we’ll be happy to help you maximize your coverage.
While your dental insurance is an agreement between you and your carrier, our experts can answer most policy questions and know how to maximize claim acceptance to get you the most coverage possible. We will use our experience and expertise to determine what portion of your dental bill you will need to pay out of pocket. Then, if you need financing, we can discuss options.
Please be aware that our estimates are based on the information we have and your insurance company approving claims. In some cases, out-of-pocket expense estimates change due to unforeseen situations with insurance companies.
In-network means that Desert Family Dental has a special agreement with an insurance carrier, and you receive special pricing based on that agreement. However, we do file insurance for carriers we are not in network with, so give us a call to discuss your policy.
We are in network with the following insurance companies:
- Delta Dental
- United Healthcare
If you have Delta Dental insurance, a MetLife policy, or you’re covered by Aetna, Cigna, or United Healthcare, be sure to bring your benefit ID card with you.
Out of Network
If Desert Family Dental is not on your insurance company’s preferred dental care provider list, you may still be eligible for some financial benefits as our patient. In many cases, insurance companies will pay a percentage of your claims submitted by out-of-network providers. Call us to discuss your coverage, even if you don’t find our name on your preferred provider list.
Filing insurance claims can be quite daunting for the consumer (you), so our insurance experts will file on your behalf. We will submit your paperwork, along with evidence of your case, by way of photos and x-rays. Although ultimately, your coverage is between you and your insurance provider, we will certainly provide all available information to make the most of your claim and maximize your potential reimbursement, whether you’re covered by Delta Dental in Mesa, AZ or an out-of-network carrier.
Before administering treatment, we will estimate your coverage and let you know how much your financial responsibility will be, according to what we know about your policy and carrier. You will be responsible for paying your portion at the time services are rendered, unless financial arrangements have been made in advance. If you need payment options, ask us to help you apply for low- or no-interest patient financing. We also accept credit cards.
